Do the results of the test apply regardless of the medical condition I am being treated for (does it matter what condition I am taking the drug for?) Do the test results change if I am taking medications vs. not taking medications?

Some medications are used to treat multiple conditions (e.g. some depression medications are used to treat some types of pain). Your Inagene Personalized Insights™ Report describes your unique predicted response to commonly used medications regardless of which health conditions the medications are being used to treat. In other words, the results are specific to individual medications (not specific health conditions).

One consideration: Some pharmacogenetic recommendations may only apply when the drug is used at specific (e.g. higher) doses, in which case this will be specified.

Whether or not you are taking any medications at the time of the test, the results will be the same (medications do not impact whether or not you have inherited certain genetic variants).
